Jane Fingler is a Toronto-based soprano, originally from Winnipeg, who keeps very busy as an ensemble singer and soloist, regularly performing with groups such as the Tafelmusik Chamber Choir, Diapente Renaissance Vocal Quintet, Toronto Consort, Trinity Bach Project, Theatre of Early Music, and Choir 21. She has also sung with Toronto Bach Festival, Toronto Mendelssohn Choir and Singers, The Elora Singers, Ottawa Bach Choir, Opus 8, Nota Bena Singers and Players, and Winnipeg ensembles Canzona, Camerata Nova, and Polycoro. Jane has participated in masterclasses with sopranos Emma Kirkby, Nancy Argenta, and Lynne Dawson, and was invited to participate in a week of masterclasses with Paul Agnew of Les Arts Florissants in Thiré, France. She is also nearing completion of her Doctorate of Musical Arts (Historical Performance) degree at the University of Toronto. She loves singing in the Tafel choir and delights in sharing such incredible music with audiences and fellow musicians alike!
