Soprano Susan Suchard is a native of London, Ontario. She holds a BMus from Western University and an MMus in Vocal Pedagogy from the University of Toronto.

Now in her 20th season with the Tafelmusik Chamber Choir, previous professional associations include the Elora Festival Singers, the Elmer Iseler Singers, the Toronto Mendelsohn Choir and the Canadian Opera Company Chorus. She holds a lead position with the Rosedale United Church Choir.

She enjoys her career as a voice teacher, with students ranging from beginners, to advanced amateurs, to aspiring professionals.

As a conductor, Susan was recently Interim Director of Music at Rosedale United Church Choir for three seasons. She was leader of the youngest choir for VIVA Singers Toronto for 20 seasons, and conducted shows for Tapestry Opera and Jumblies Theatre. She was an Artist Educator for the Canadian Opera Company and a music teacher in the public school system.

As an arts administrator, Susan has held the positions of General Manager of VIVA Singers Toronto, Managing Editor of Opera Canada magazine, and Leadership Legacy Intern for Tapestry Opera.
