Sharang Sharma studied singing and mediaeval musicology at Western University and the University of Oxford. He subsequently worked as Choral Music Director at Huron University. He was lay clerk at The Queen’s College in Oxford, where he sang with numerous U.K.-based ensembles, including Academy of Ancient Music, and Instruments of Time and Truth. He currently sings in Toronto with Tafelmusik, Toronto Mendelssohn Singers, Elmer Iseler Singers, and Choir 21, and has been invited to guest conduct ensembles including the Toronto Chamber Choir. Sharang is a Tafelmusik Baroque Summer Institute alumnus (2018, 2019, and 2023), and has been teaching at The Canadian Renaissance Music Summer Schools since 2021.
