Lindsay McIntyre is a Canadian vocal artist whose work lies at the intersection of technical precision and the magic of mindful experience. Awed by the natural world, Lindsay believes music making is a form of transfiguration: creating moments out of thin air. A scholar of the voice, body, and meditative practices, Lindsay is particularly passionate about using her instrument as a vessel for contemporary music. Recent musical highlights include Steve Reich’s Drumming with Sō Percussion, Trever Weston’s STARS, and Shelter by David Lang, Julia Wolfe, and Michael Gordon at Bang on a Can’s LOUD WEEKEND. Her self-produced performance of Feldman’s Three Voices was named one of Toronto’s Best Concerts of 2025. She has received support from the Canada Council for the Arts, and held residencies at Yellow Barn, the Banff Centre, Lunenburg Academy of Music Performance, and Bang on a Can. Lindsay holds a Doctor of Musical Arts from the University of Toronto.
