Benjamin Done, tenor, completed his Master of Music degree at the University of Toronto Opera School. Originally from Georgetown, Ontario, Ben completed his Bachelor of Arts (honours) in Music, majoring in piano, and his Bachelor of Education at Laurentian University in Sudbury, Ontario. In addition to singing with the Canadian Opera Company Chorus, his operatic credits include Mr. Splinters (The Tender Land), Babylas (Monsieur Choufleuri), Ein Weiser (Hin und Zurük), Hamlet in the student-composer-collective premiere of Disobedience, Charles Darnay (A Tale of Two Cities), John Adams (The Mother of Us All), “Casey” Baldwin (The Bells of Baddeck), Marco Palmieri (The Gondoliers), and Colonel Fairfax (Yeoman of The Guard). On the concert stage Benjamin has been featured as tenor soloist in Handel’s Messiah, Mozart’s Requiem, Bach’s Christmas Oratorio and Magnificat, Mozart’s Solemn Vespers, and Haydn’s Paukenmesse. Solo appearances in the 2025/26 season include MessiahChristmas Oratorio, Haydn’s Lord Nelson Mass, and Carmina Burana.
