Marketing Coordinator (full-time, permanent position)
Tafelmusik is an internationally acclaimed, thriving not-for-profit organization with an exciting artistic vision, and a warm, supportive, and collaborative team environment. While active on the world-stage, at the core of our work is a series of subscription concerts each season in Toronto.
Tafelmusik seeks an organized, collaborative and results-oriented Marketing Coordinator to join its marketing and communications team. Reporting to the Director of Marketing & Communications and working closely with the Associate Director of Marketing, and Marketing Manager, our ideal candidate will support initiatives that grow and support audience development, elevate Tafelmusik’s profile, and generate revenue.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and coordinate campaign assets (print, digital, and out-of-home), multi-channel promotions, and other initiatives, adhering to strict brand and style guidelines, and approval processes.
- Assist with the development of marketing strategy by providing competitive research, collected data, and insight on promotional opportunities.
- Coordinate the deployment of campaign assets across multiple distribution channels (including print, digital, and out-of-home).
- Assist with the execution of email marketing strategy by building campaigns in templated software, coordinating campaign calendars, segmenting lists, and deploying communications.
- Coordinate, distribute, collect and analyze audience surveys.
- Proofread and draft copy for social media posts, and other materials as required.
- Monitor and update project tracking documents and oversee the completion of tasks effectively and on time.
- Update database systems when necessary and run queries and reports.
- Track and report on all relevant metrics highlighting areas of risk and improvement for campaigns.
- Create, maintain, and update webpages using WordPress CMS and assist with audience list building and database entry.
- Support the team in implementing paid and organic social media campaigns, SEO best practices, and Google Ads.
- Monitor community engagement across social media platforms.
- Archive audience feedback, publicity files, videos, and photography.
- Work closely with the team to ensure electronic queries, unsubscribes, and bounce-backs for key communications are addressed in a timely manner.
- Perform other support activities as required.
Qualifications
Essential
- Post-secondary education in marketing, communications, arts administration or a related field
- At least one year experience in a marketing or communications role, or similar function.
- Strong project coordination experience, including preparation and oversight of timelines, ensuring projects are completed on time, budget and on spec. (Experience with Asana or other project management tools a plus).
- Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent command of the English language, outstanding verbal and written communications skills
- Pro-active and collaborative professional manner – comfortable working with a variety of stakeholders, including colleagues, artists, customers, and vendors
- Excellent knowledge and skill in using Microsoft Office Suite
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
Desirable
- Experience working with email automation systems (ie, Wordfly or MailChimp), Customer relationship management and/or ticketing software (ie,Tessitura, Raisers Edge or Salesforce), Google Analytics, Google Adwords, Google UTM manager, campaign tracking and coding practices.
- Knowledge of, and passion for, classical music and the performing arts
- Experience with design software (Adobe Creative Suite or Canva)
- Basic HTML
Terms of Employment
This is a full-time position with in-person presence in Toronto required. Tafelmusik is currently working in a hybrid capacity, with expectations that employees will work in the office several days a week. Please note that evening and weekend work may be required, related to attending concerts and events.
The compensation range is between $40,000 and $47,500 depending on qualifications and experience. Benefits include healthcare, vacation pay, sick leave, and personal time, and a retirement program that activates after 3 years with the organization.
