Tafelmusik lost a wonderful and gifted friend.

With great sadness, we said goodbye to Board Director Anne-Marie Applin on November 3, after a sudden and quick illness.

A board member since 2012, Anne-Marie served the organization in her capacity as an ICD.D designate, bringing exceptional governance knowledge and skills to our Governance and Finance committees. Our organization benefited from her varied career in marketing and public relations, as well as her enthusiasm for our music. It wasn’t unlike Anne-Marie to welcome friends and guests to each of our performances, warmly introducing them to musicians, board members and staff alike.

The Anne-Marie we remember is one filled with great joy and beauty. She was gracious with her compliments, compassionate toward her colleagues, and a strong advocate for Tafelmusik’s mission to bring music of the past to life on period instruments. We will miss her tremendously, and wish her family solace and peace at this time.

We are pleased to recognize her great contribution to Tafelmusik by dedicating our November 12, 2020 program, Re-tuned, in her memory.
