Juliet Beckwith is a soprano and cellist born and raised in Tkaronto. With a passion for music and community, Juliet finds joy in musical creation of all styles and backgrounds. She debuted as a soloist with the Toronto Symphony at age eleven, performing “I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas”. After spending seven years on the west coast, she is excited to return home and be a part of Tafelmusik. Favourite credits include The Beckwith Songbook (Confluence Concerts), Britten’s Five Flower Songs (Octet Victoria), Holst’s The Planets (Christ Church Cathedral Choir), Victoria Baroque Festival Evensong, Handel’s Coronation Anthems (Victoria Symphony), and Purcell’s The Fairy Queen (Toronto Masque Theatre). Outside of her music career, Juliet works in reproductive health.
